About
How we make TechKitchen
TechKitchen tracks the technology changing kitchens: smart appliances and gadgets at home, and the equipment, software and robots reshaping restaurant and foodservice kitchens.
What we publish
- Stories, every weekday: an original headline and a short summary in our own words, linking to the publication that did the reporting. We don't copy articles or their photos.
- The Weekly, every Friday: the week's most important stories with our take on why each matters. It's also our free email newsletter.
- The Weekend Recipe, every Friday: a well-regarded recipe that puts a kitchen gadget to work, with our tips and a link to the full recipe.
- Month in Review: the month's biggest stories in one place.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help find stories, read the original reporting and draft our summaries. Every summary is based only on facts stated in the article it links to. The TechKitchen editors review each Weekly before it's sent; when a Weekly hasn't been reviewed, it says so at the bottom. Daily stories publish automatically and are checked by our editors each week.
Sources and photos
We link to the original publisher, never through aggregators. Vendor announcements are marked "Press release", paywalled sources are marked "Paywall", and paid placements are always labeled "Sponsored". Photos come from companies' official press materials, where their terms allow it, or from licensed stock libraries, and are credited on the image.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated correction note to the story. Spot an error? Email [email protected].
How we make money
TechKitchen is supported by advertising and by affiliate links: if you buy something through some of our links, we may earn a small commission. That never decides what we cover. See our affiliate disclosure.
